One of the more crazy/obsessive concerns raised in the Asylum?

It's about clamping 10awg stranded wire in Furutech IEC plugs. Should all the strands be kept together and fed into one 'side' of the clamp or split up into two, allowing for greater contact area (but maybe having some other adverse affect that I couldn't possibly imagine)?
