I switched from Hovland to Mundorf in a LS & heard quite an improvement--most notably relief from flat/hard midrange & treble. I have Mundorf Silver/Gold coupling caps in several places in the system. I was curious about forum comments regarding lite bass of Mundorf, so I installed NOS Sprague Vitaman Q-- a cap noted for warmth-- with an A/B switch between VQ & Mundorf. My preamp is direct-coupled, but the coupling caps are at ingress of the next downstream component, presenting a capacitive load to the preamp similar to your situation.
With VQ there is an emphasis of LF that's seductive, enveloping-- and exaggerated & slightly blunt. Mundorf is neutral & controlled from top to bottom & more revealing. Yet owing to warmth & relaxation I find myself listening to VQ slightly more often than Mundorf.
I'd suggest that for large & expensive 4.7uf positions you go for a neutral & detailed cap like Mundorf. If you want more bass, perhaps there are low-value coupling caps needed elsewhere in your system where you can experiment with warmer caps like VQ or Russian K40Y9-- which are widely & cheaply available in common .22uf & .47uf values. You can also try bypassing a large Mundorf cap with a .1uf FT-3 telfon.
Incidently, you might find that adding inexpensive low-value NOS russian PIO or teflon caps in power supply bypass positions makes as great a difference as swapping coupling caps.
