I bought a TT mat from Herbie's and the record weight/stabilizer. While I was there I bought a couple of his Black Hole CD mats for about $2 each.

The TT mat did what I expected delivering better vocals and more articulated bass. The Black Hole CD mat really overdelivers. I played one of my SO's favorite CDs. She asked me if I bought her a record!

Since I upgrade to the X5 cart I haven't played many silver discs. Since getting the Black Hole I've been playing more CDs than vinyl, mostly because I had not heard those albums recently.

I've got a basic decent Pioneer 563A so those of you with high buck equipment may not hear comparable results.
