On guitar amps it is common to use a high value resistors to sample the signal for a line out. From the positive speaker terminal, use a 68K resistor and a 4K resistor in series to ground. Take the signal off of the junction between the two resistors. The resistance is high enough that the power amp will not push any current, 1/2 watt resistors will work fine. It will cost you $0.20 to see if it is the solution you are looking for.
