need advice on Hammond 193 tweak

couple ?s if you'd be so good:
1) the 193M has a 10H rating vs the 5H for the 193L. if i plan on plugging one into the outlets of a toroid-based power conditioner (which all my front end components plug into), which would be appropriate? and are the effects cumulative here (i.e. adding 2 193Ms is better than 1, and 1 193M is better than 1 193L)?
2) for large monoblock amps, each on a dedicated line, which is appropriate? is the 193M preferred in all instances?
3) if i already have capacitance built across the hot/neutral of my AC lines, is this Hammond tweak more hit-or-miss? what about if i have R-C networks on my AC lines?
4) is the preferred installation point as close to the component as possible? (i.e. inside target component is best, at IEC end of power cord 2nd best, and plugged into the same outlet as component as 3rd)
