Hard to predict without doing it.

The idea of the R-C filter is dynamic loading. This means to provide a resistive path for the high frequency noise on a cable without affecting the base-band too much. In the case of 60-Hz power wiring, the capacitors and resistors draw very little power at 60 Hz.

How well they work depends on the amount of high frequency noise at the place they are applied. They may do a lot of good in certain outlets, even those in other parts of your house, and not much good in others. It is worth the time to experiment and see where they do the most good.

Your conditioner may have isolation between the outlets, so that plugging the filter into an unused outlet may not do any good. OTOH, it may have all the 'digital' outlets connected together inside, so that plugging a filter into an unused outlet serves to damp noise on the CD player power cord. I suspect the internal wiring distances involved would make this a less-effective approach, however. There is the sonic degradation of the extra set of plug and socket contacts to consider as well in your series approach.
