Hi Paul
Sorry for the delay...I have been in and out of the hospital the last couple of days.
Does your cable box offer the rear ac outlet? If it does, wire the choke into a 2 prong ac plug...and plug it into the back of the cable box. You can do the same for HT receivers that offer the non-switched outlets on the rear. You might also want to look at some of our other filtering ideas on the web site. All of the filter concepts are designed to enhance the other. The choke is part of a commercial design that I install in studios. The filters on the web site are also part of that same design. The two are designed to work hand and hand.
I would also look into picking up a few 193L's of M to be used as isolation filters per component plugged into the Monster. Two M's with a couple L's sound very nice together.
Chris is right, adding more of each type of filter greatly improves everything...no down side by the amount of filtering added.
Alan
