I tweaked my AC continuously to good effect. Tweaking P&S outlets was a good thing to do compared with the contractor crap. But adding in successively better audiophile outlets is a revelation of sorts. This is NOT a minor tweak.
First the ordinary copper Furus worked very well. Then I got an Oyaide SWO-XXX and it was clearly a step above and worth what I could pay (not much, unfortunately). Now I'm cooking a Oyaide Ultimo. Had I the money and a 20 amp circuit I would have sprung for the R1 too.
This never stops, by the way. If the R1 is tops for you 20 amp guys, then tomorrow there will be an R-2, an S-1.5a, etc. that will beat that.
But if you're starting your room and going to live with it for years, treat those simple outlets as a truly negligible expense you'll amortize in your home over decades and get the best you can. Which, BTW, is system dependent to some degree (as to plating, etc.), so it's not necessarily as simple as the hot number this week.... IMHO
