Op amp observations - OPA2134, OPA627, AD8620

It seems every time I make a tweak or two to my system, I find myself switching out op amps in my Marantz CC4300 CDP, and now that I've pretty much upgraded everything in the Marantz and my Jolida 102, I'm noticing some things about op amps that I haven't in the past.

In a nutshell:

OPA2134 has wonderful highs, very full and easy on the ears, but has a thin midrange that sounds off to me.

OPA627 has a wonderful midrange, but the highs can seem a little thin and shrill at times.

AD op amps in general seem more balanced to me, but lack the best qualities of the OPAs. AD8620 is my favorite of the ADs, a free-flowing op amp with a solid midrange, but it seems a little veiled to me and the highs somewhat rolled off. Still, it's the one I'm sticking with for now. After I switch my Jolida coupling caps to PIOs in the next couple of weeks, I'll try the OPA627 again.

To my ears, AD8620 and OPA627 are by far the best op amps I've heard. My system seems to have one or the other in it all the time; every other one I've tried hasn't lasted long.

Hope this is of some use to someone...
