I used a de-solderer with an attached vacuum pump, but could not get enough solder free to remove the chip.
I know the traces are delicate and I dont want to damage them.
I could clip the leads, but I am not sure what to use. I tried a pair of small manicure scissors, but there was still tension on the lead when I snipped it. The space between the pins are very narrow, and I have to force the scissors in a little to get around the pin. Is there something I should consider before I try again?
