I just evaluated the R203 (2 channel stabilizer) with my Marantz CC4300 CD changer. IMHO, the Dakiom is meant for serious listening.
The difference in sound seems subtle at first. It took about 1/2 hour for me to understand what it is doing. In my highly tweaked system I am already experiecing good soundstage, focus and tight bass. So I did not see improvement in those areas at first.I initially thought there was a loss in dynamics - until I realized what it was. The Dakiom removed the grunge and glare from the bass and treble, and the dynamics is NOT touched and there is no rolloff in the highs. There is also improved clarity, better separation and less straining.
The sound of intruments like piano, sax and drums is more natural than ever before. Piano sustain sounds more melodious! The shimmer from cymbals more apparent. To my ears, it improved the sound of audiophile recordings more than standard recordings. The sound of instruments and voices is so real, almost visceral. Plus there is better integration between the front and rear of the soundstage (I finally know what this means!)
The best way to find out what it is doing is to try to remove it. I always find myself coming back to it. This echos the experience of others.
