Hi, I have done the mods you mention on my 1+1's with the exception of reducing the 500Meg R and using a snubber on the HV transformer. However there is a much better mod than all these IMHO. It involves
using a large value choke (10 Hy +) in series with the 500 meg R.
The choke had better be of very good quality and be wound for wide bandwidth. You will not believe what the Acoustats are capable of...Rob.
