Need your advise on Opamp Output Capacitor value....

Am modding my DVD player and have a question....

At the Line Level ouput after the Opamp, there is a capacitor (which to my understanding is to stop DC leakage at the output) with value of 10uF/16V.
In the Marantz CD67 , the capacitor value is 220uF/16V.

In my CD67 , i totally removed the capacitor and added a jumper-wire (it gave the best improvement compared to having capacitor in the signal path, and did not have any side-effects). But i CANNOT also remove the capacitor for my DVD player because of plop sound heard whenever i change tracks/chapter.

So i must have a capacitor there in the signal path, and the big question is what value should i mod my DVD player to ?

To my understanding and experimentation , higher uF value would shift the output frequency response towards lower frequencies (i.e. better lows/bass) and higher uF value gives a clearer sound (less bass response perhaps). I have tried 10uF, 220uF and 470uF.
However, i think if the uF value gets too high, the charge-storage of the capacitor increases and might (i think) affect the dynamics and mess up the sound. Correct ??

So is there an ideal uF value to use (maybe to follow Marantz CD63 value of 220uF) ?
(Of course i will be using an Audio High-Grade capacitor here).

Thanks,
SteveLim
