Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
Greetings! This is my first post on this site since I have only recently been bitten by the tweak bug, for which, I understand, there is no vaccine. I am replacing an ordinary receptacle in my listening room with the PS Audio Power Port AC receptacle with a dedicated line, on the strength of Stereophile's recommendation. My house is six years old and wired with Garden Variety Wire (not a brand name). I want to replace it with an optimal wire for this dedicated line, assuming the right choice of wire will make a significant difference. I would appreciate any suggestions. Please include brand name, gauge, where I could find it online, and the rough cost (about 50ft to the breaker). Also, for those of you familiar with the PS Audio receptacle, is it okay to wire both outlets to one dedicated line, or should each outlet be wired to its own dedicated line? Thanks in advance for your expertise.
