Am I trapping any bass?

In an effort to treat the listening area in a recently finished basement I made a modified version of Jon Risch's panels based on materials I was able to obtain locally. Big thanks to Jon for all the info available online! They have definitely improved the sound which is all that matters, but Im wondering if there is room for improvement.

They consist of 1X4 frames, 1" rigid fiberglass panels (3lb/sq. ft.) and 6.5" thick kraft faced fiberglass wrapped in poly batting. They measure 8ft. by 2ft. and are placed diagonally in the corners behind my Magneplanar MMG's.

Given this recipe any thoughts on effectiveness? Would there be a benefit from doing something to the space behind the panels? I'm thinking about an 8' length of rolled insulation tacked to the wall. Or tacking a 1' strip of the rigid glass to the walls on each side of the corner--essentially creating a rigid fiberglass triangle.

Thanks,

Steve
