Room treatment...where to start?

143.127.131.4

First off let me start by saying that my budget is limited and I am not comfortable with DIY projects.

Aurelex and Acoustics First are both within my budget, so suggestions using these products would be greatly appreciated.

My stereo/HT system resides in a large L-shaped room (>400 sq. ft).
The floor is ceramic tile and the walls are either drywall or drywall over concrete. The ceiling is vaulted and about 12 ft. high. There are 2 leather couches in front of the stereo as well as a large 5x8 wool rug.

My first thought was to treat first order reflections on the one wall, given the L-shape of the room, there is no opposite side wall nearby.
Should I treat the distant wall?

I was also considering bass traps for the two corners, again, the L-shape places the other corners quite far away. Should they be treated to?

Finally, I though about treating the area directly behind the two front speakers. What about the rear wall?

Suggestions are appreciated. I have to admit, that while the Auralex stuff is quite inexpensive, the WAF is very low compared to the Acoustics First stuff.
