Is there a significant difference in sound quality between the Alps Blue pot I've been using in my DIY passive and a Bourns or Noble or Penny&Giles? What about using a regular console fader instead of a pot? I don't care about remote operation.
I'm interested in how much improvement is available without going all the way to a DACT or similar attentuator.
