I noticed on the top horizontal plate in my driver tube the following. The top plate usually has a dusty white apperence. Recently areas seem to be peeled away exposing a shiny surface. Yes the sonics did seem to change. Is this stripping???
Second, my PAS never hummed before, not the same tube. Recently the unit itself has started to "buzz". I don't care but lately it, as well as my FM-3, have become loud enough to be heard while listening to music. What causes tube units to physically hum? Is there anything I should or could do about it besides moving it?
Third, the Russian knock off 7308's. Are they really a 6DJ8 remarked as a 7308 or actually a 7308?
