Not sure where to begin. I can't imagine looking any further for my tastes. I've auditioned many tube amps and in general, there always seems to be a compromise. These OTLs do everything extremely well, I can find no weaknesses. I have 4ohm speakers (Vr8s) and the OTLs make these babies sing. The midrange is transparent and calming, extremely involving. Find a good live recording with a proper mix and you can re-create the event. Perhaps most impressive is performance at low listening levels. Nothing but detail, you find yourself dropping a conversation in the middle just to listen. Pure music.
I bought instead of building as I'm new to the DIY club. Check the forum on their site for experiences of the builders for the OTL as well as their other products. It was a pleasure speaking with Bruce while waiting and learning more about Transcendent Sound and his philosophy. Very refreshing.
