I use a pair on my SE 6v6 amp i think they sound really good. But, i have not gone thru all of my 6v6 types systematically to be definitive. I don't think i ever will but one thing that is certain, the 5992 is The Best Made 6v6 type. I sold a pair to a guitar guy who told me that they were the cleanest sounding 6v6 that he has ever played in his Gibson amp.
