RE: Best Sounding 6V6

New Sensor's 6V6 sold as a "reissue" TungSol is an EXCELLENT tube. E/K, AKA Poindexter, is on record preferring it over NOS. ;>)

You already have a positive experience with Loctal tubes. Try another, the 7N7, as the small signal type in your stuff. Regardless of branding, Loctal tubes were built by Sylvania at their Emporium, PA, plant. Sylvania made 6SN7s get good "ink" and you can be certain that the same "cages" went into both 6SN7s and 7N7s. Doing otherwise would not have been profitable.
