Liability issue versus real problem due to extra current needs

Almost all manufacturers or techs on all levels, will step away from saying a replacement product is ok --- if it doesn't meet exact same OEM standards.

If the unit fails for other reasons, it's hard for the manufacturer or tech to deny a warranty, if he said it's ok to use a replacement part. Even if the real problem is not related to that part.

"Well, you said it's ok to use it. After I replaced the part, the unit doesn't work. You fix it."
