It may not be the socket

Turn the unit on its side with the bottom off and rock the tube back while observing corresponding socket and see if the pins are touching any adjacent components.The only bad thing about tube rolling is the fact that we move and stretch the pins sometimes.If you could email me or post a closeup up photo of the socket on both sides of the suspect one,that would help a lot.
