I have a Bottlehead BeePre 300B preamp. The 300B's are very wobbly in the socket and occasionally I get a crackling sound that is fixed when I rock the tube to one side or another.

I believe the socket pins are just not tight enough to firmly hold the 300B's in place and thus I do not always get real good contact. The 300B's are Electro Harmonix if that makes a difference. Is there a good gold plated socket that someone could recommend that might be a tighter fit.
