Okay, understood.
In said case, I'd say that most tubes made in particular locations have a sound akin to its natives, and by these being German makes, much like tube from the likes of RFT | Lorenz | Valvo | AEG | Telefunken's, there's a certain honesty as well as accurate means of how each renders notes, and once again, I'm very taken with these brands with the exception of the latter as listed above.
Much like German gear in general, as I'm fond of speakers from Tidal, and ClearAudio Turntables and Cartridges because of said accurate means of playback, I'd say that it's more of a means of allowing ones system to be somewhat more neutral | resolving unlike many of the British makes of tubes which add a sense of refinement, texture and warmth at the expense of finer extension, or detailing capabilities.
And Siemens based tubes in general are looked upon as one of the very best sounding E81CC's ever made, period especially talking into account it's a military spec or industrial design which was made to higher standards.
And lastly........., that screw at some point is going to need to be replaced, so there's no better time then the present, no!.
Enjoy the listen.
