I've never tried the adapter but I have abandoned use of the 6DJ8/6022 family of tubes in favor of the 5670. I certainly haven't tried all the various iterations of the 6DJ8/6922 family, but I have tried some of the premium members and, compare to the 5670, they exhibit an electronic "glare" that I can't live with and wasn't even aware of until I made a direct comparison. I much prefer the 5670 in all of my builds for which the electrical parameters are appropriate.
