More on the EH 6CA7 fat bottles.

Those tubes continue to impress the hell out of me.They have the rich midrange body of the EL34,but they also have the upper midrange detail as well as excellent detail in the high end and it's not harsh in the least.
I'm utterly convinced that sonic quality of this tube is predicated on the testing results you request when you buy these tubes..For audio,you want them in the 8200 to 8700 testing range..This has nothing to do with how strong the tube is or long it will last.It is simply a number rating system like Groove tubes used to use and for audio,you always want them in the upper ranges..I have some that were in the 7200 range and they didn't sound that good.They were just adequate but barely..These new ones tho,they present a completely different scenario.
