EH 6CA7s WOW!

I've had these tubes in stock for a long time and we are talking 2008 maybe and I just used this quad for the first time tonight..My other quad I use for testing on the bench..Anyway,these are factory matched at 8100 and 8100 and above is perfect for audio.I don't ever remember the EH 6CA7s sounding this incredibly good and they aren't even broken in.There isn't the slightest tinge of harshness in any way and,there is depth,detail,and naturalness out to the street.These are a single halo getter where the new ones are a dual halo getter.
These things are pouncing on my Xf1s and Xf2s and Amperex DD getters for clarity and they have much better control of the speakers and open right up.Are they are as good as the Gen reissue KT77 or the metal base Philips? I would say they are different than the KT77s but have a lot of those characteristics and they have a lot similarities with the metal base Philips.If I had to pick between the EH 6CA7s and the Philips just for listening qualities,the metal base have a very slight edge in midrange body but,now that the tubes are breaking in and staying on longer,that slight edge the metal base had is gone..I still prefer the KT77s overall but the EH fatties with about 8000 test results,I never knew were this good.These are incredible..
