RE: Used Genelex KT88 for this kind of money?

KT66s for a 1000 usd for an NOS quad is unusually high for Ebay..For KT88s no. The reason the KT66s aren't as high is because the Genelex reissues have LITERALLY and I mean LITERALLY emulated the sound and they cost a fraction of the price.I'm talking the gray glass even because many people think the gray glass KT66s have a black plate structure and they do not.

I do like the gray glass KT66s as I have many of them however,once I started using the reissues,I kind of parked my vintage ones because of their increasing value. I posted a link to some of the more recent vintage NOS KT66s and you can see they went for around 400 to 550 dollars a quad US in many cases.They were clear glass which IMHO don't sound any better than the reissues if as good.

Now,the recent prices are listed out of sight but I don't see them selling for that.
