I believe that tube is one that Victor of BAT has written about recently. I think you will need to get the EV or EB version of that tube if you take his advice. The market is apparently drying up and prices are rising on them (again if I am not mistaken.)
The other issue of concern is the SQ of many ARC pieces. I have an SP-6 pre amp. The first thing I did was to roll in some 5751s for the 6 X 12AX7s it uses. I was really surprised that the roll had virtually no effect on the sound. Its tonal qualities sounded almost like solid state. No tube roll had any significant effect. The sound is Nothing like the Leak House sound. I would proceed with caution and ask for an audition first, with your gear of course.
p.s. I also own an old SS ARC power amp which sounds like SS. The curious thing is that it sounds warmer than the pre!
