I'm not a simulation guy. I'll take your word. That kind of infrasonic noise behavior could be an issue when phono is the source.
For the benefit of those "inmates" that have yet to look at Max's schematic, I'm uploading it again. What caught my eye was Max's remark about the setup being "unity" gain. "Unity" gain makes the issue of 100% out of circuit, which is the "normal" state of affairs, much less problematic.
Max indicated that DC heaters were in order. I think AC heating will be OK, IF 7025s or equivalents, like the Sovtek 12AX7LPS, are employed. Hum bucking, spiral wound, heaters definitely have their uses. ;>)
Scan the archives for my previous posts on this subject regarding DC coupled ZVN0545A source followers, instead of cap. coupled cathode followers, to hold the bottle count down. IMO, 2 bottles/channel is a bit much.
