I have inkjet prints made many years ago that have retained their look. They were done on nothing special glossy and satin paper. I would hope inks have changed for the better since then.

We (my son and I) bought a new printer at Christmas time. We bought an HP with an ink plan. We can print up to 300 print pages per month....full color. When the ink gets low, the printer notifies HP and they send more ink. This plan costs $5/mo. It was available for $2.99 I think. If we don't print the 300 (not even close), they carry over to the next month.

We are very happy with the printer and it's quality, as well as the ink plan. If I can't afford $5 a month for ink....there's something wrong.

The printer was $75....ouch!

Metallic paper can be had for $25-30/25 sheets.

The combination of having a printer and the finding out about the metallic paper has really brought me back to taking photos and experimenting.
