The reason you are are getting mixed messages is that everyone has to guess the circuit config.
FWIW, and from experience I'd be surprised if changing value from 10uF to 100uF will change sound much for technical reasons other than cap quality ... assuming the cap is merely a coupling cap. It would only have the effect of reducing the LF corner frequency, which would typically already be well below an audible frequency, perhaps a few hertz.
If it's not a coupling cap then the consequences could be greater. A schematic will get you the answer you seek.
