I don't know those particular kits, but I built the 8LS and 16LS kits, and they are pretty crummy. I tried putting Hammond output transformers on the 16LS but it squealed and I never sussed it out. It just wasn't worth it.

I'm shocked at the prices for those amps now. They used to be real cheapies (and not worth it.)

Find an old Dyna Stereo 35 or SCA 35 and re-cap it. They'll run rings around that stuff.
