The tubes aren't electrical equivalents. The WE 274B is basically a 5U4G. We have to know more about the type of tube power supply and the voltage and current outputs for the different supplies. I can't imagine Dennis making a mistake. However, assuming that he hasn't, he will generally go by the sound, meaning he prefers the 274B recifier sonics. Who made the 274B? (I assume it's a current mfr. like EML).
