RE: ID of 6BQ5 from England

They are early Mullard EL84. B indicates made at Blackburn plant. There are also rX1, rX3 and rX4. The big hole in the plate is the most obvious give away about the maker. Also the "tobacco stains" on the inner glass is no indication that the tube is used up or bad. I have many extras if you need some. You can contact me off site if you want. cheers, Dak
