RE: Bogen DB110 etc AGAIN

Today I went around to the corner shop to buy some valves for the redesigned amp.
Here are pretty much all the ones I needed, at least to make a test version of the AF amp.

In there there's 2, tiny 150V regulators which even in shunt mode can provide a perfectly stable supply at 300V and 150V.
Enough to power a complete AF preamp.

The 6N16b they didn't have in stock, but the 6n18b is just as good a substitute in the position.
It's happy enough running 2m/a, so I made the screen grid circuit drop 47k to ground.

What we have in effect is a series stabiliser of microamps to the screen of the "EF86", but the stabiliser is of course drawing it's supply voltage from the output.

That's ultralinear folks!

The sum total of all of them was about 3-3.5 EURO.

As you can see, they're gold plated electrodes, and all the kind of quality you don't expect to have in valve costing 50 cents.

I took a closer look so as you could see it's not a joke.
There's more than 5g of gold in every 1000 valves & the ratings are conservative!
