RE: Looking for something different. KT66 or 77?

I have a different amp but here's my findings.

I have the VTA ST-70 that came with Shaguangs. And yes those are very good tubes. I have no complaints or problems with them.

I bought a set of Gold Lion KT-66s as recommended by Bob Latino the designer of that amp. And yes they are a very, no excellent tubes. As Bob describes them "they have more energy at both ends". And they do! But not bright at all. Very holographic as Bob describes them. But again this is my stereo.

I highly recommend them.
