I find this thread helpful as I am tube rolling in my PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium integrated right now. I agree with Mendel that the TS KT120 has NO midrange magic and I find it quite uninvolving and not liking the tone. I rolled in some Mullard CV4003 and they helped but overall I am not crazy about the sound. Its not terrible but everytime I put back in the stock EL34's I find the tone and midrange magic is back where I like it. The only issue is I wouldn't mind a little more bite to the music which I hope the Amperex 7361's will help. Does anyone have suggestions to upgrade the stock PrimaLuna EL34's? I also may add the KT120 has a wonderful soundstage, bass and great power but missing the midrange magic other tubes have.
I agree these Chinese output tubes can get quite pricey but from what I have read so far they are well recommended, reviewed and the longevity also seems to be there.
