He said, "I have an excellent set of Mullard XF1s (same date codes, same measurements out of my testers, super low hours, Blackburn, Dynaco silkscreening; they have dual o getters) from my father's Dynaco ST-70 he built new in the early 1960s and I've used for short periods myself."
He just got the amp in question. I'm sure he meant that he had use these Mullard tubes in other amps through the years but when he try them in the new amps....no go.
