Are you saying the tubes won't fit in the EL-34 sockets or that they can't get beyond the cutouts for them leading to the sockets?
Well it is certainly a treat to have tubes with a really certain pedigree. I really can't think of a truly logical explanation but ...Glass is a technically a fluid and does settle over time due to gravity.
(warning bad joke) Do you think the tubes are excited about being used and thus gotten hotter and larger? Tube Tumescent Syndrome?
