I have had experiences with tubes which had seriously mismatched triodes in the tube. I sometimes buy Tung Sol 6SN7 round plates like that because the seller is honest about it and prices the tube accordingly or the auction has few if any other bidders.
The upshot is that these tubes sound good and rarely sound as imbalanced as the numbers would make you think. YourMMV etc. so don't get mad at me if you get an audible difference-I only do this with rare or expensive tubes.
