I was reading that it is a good idea to balance the triodes of 6922 when using it in a headphone preamp/amp, as the preamp I use is two channel and uses one tube.
Does this make sense?
I bought EH-6922 to replace a 6BZ7 NOS tube which came with the headphone amp. I had the tubes tested for low noise and microphonics and balanced the triodes.
The only other experience I have with tubes is using a pair of 6SN7s in a preamp as well as a tube buffer as well as my DAC has a 12AU7.
