My opinion of the GL KT88 is different than Steve's. His opinion is not universal, particularly the part about them "lasting as long as they do". I think the new high end tubes coming out of China (the Psvanes and Treasures) are the best new KT88s around. The Penta Labs KT88SC (also sold as the "Prefered Series) is also very good. The jury is still out on the lifespan of these in my amp (only have a few 100s of hours on them) but so far no problems.
