Kevin@ Upscale Audio is the person to call with PL questions. I can't hear a change in sonics switching the 34/88 rocker on my PL Dialogue HP. 6L6G's sound good here.
I'm guessing the switch is similar to adjusting the pot.. At least you still can just pop in the tubes until then.
