Hi, thanks you guys! The hum comes from the amp and not the speakers. I don't know what the exact house voltage is but I will measure it. I was wondering about this. I have had Mark 3's and they had a choke to help with inductance. The ST-35 does not and the transformers are as close as you can get. Could the York cast weights act as sort of an iron core and act like a choke? The hum only stops with 2 and 1/2 pound weights placed over the cage area right over the center power transformer and comes back when shifted to the right or left. I appreciate all your answers and tips but am still puzzled why the weights only work while in the center.The cage never touches the transformers. I also have the amp isolated with rubber feet on a wooden platform. Thanks guys....Mark Korda
