Yes, I tried them in my old CAT SL1. Nothing special, IMO. An okay tube, but like I said, nothing exceptional about them. A much better answer for me in that CAT was the JJ 802S. A very nice tube indeed. Long plates and spiral wound heater. Quiet as a stone and really nice tone.
