RE: 6DJ8's on my Counterpoint 3.1

I had an sa3 for a few years then got an sa5 which has remained in my system for more than 25 years. Mullard and Brimar 6dj8's have always been my favourites for nice midrange and low microphonics. Siemens add a nice sparkle. Can't go wrong with BB'S in which case I prefer the large O getter over the D. Note BB'S can sometimes be quite microphonic but I've only encountered that a few times. I have some Tele's, Valvo,Japanese and Russian which I haven't tried for a long long time. I had changed all the bypass caps along with a couple caps in the power supply a while back and never really stopped to try the latter tubes again. I really should take them all for a spin again like you're doing. Have fun "rolling"!

Cheers!

Jonesy
