If you got an improvement with a proper CD player with a good output stage, that's not surprising.
The Dragonfly DAC is a tiny USB powered product. Do not expect it to drive a tube power amp to full performance (not to mention, the analog outputs are from a mini jack).
And there's no doubt that the tube power amplifier will have a little more trouble with the 90dB, 4 ohm monitors than the Classe will.
So, pay attention to the source and the issue of warm-up is IMO less important.
