All great suggestions. Just my two cents.
Try the Genalex 12AX7's Jim McShane has. Read my posting a little further down. If you need to heft up or fatten up that mid area, this tube can do the job VERY quickly.
Try some simple fixes before making any hasty decisions.
Also there looks like some sad looking coupling caps in that amp? Consider a cap upgrade in there.
